Product Description

Bring colour and craftsmanship to your everyday rituals with one of these beautiful hand-painted stainless steel tumblers, ethically handcrafted by skilled artisans in Kashmir. Each cup is decorated with intricate, hand-painted designs using lead-free, water-based poster paints, then finished with a protective enamel lacquer for lasting beauty. These cups are food safe and make elegant decor, in addition to brightening up your drinkware collection.

Durable yet elegant, each tumbler measures 5cm at the base, 9cm across the rim, and 12cm tall—perfect for water, juice, or your favourite drinks. The sturdy stainless steel makes it a sustainable alternative to disposable cups, while the hand-painted finish celebrates Kashmiri artistry passed down through generations.

Please note: these tumblers should be washed by hand to preserve the painted finish. These items are *NOT DISHWASHER SAFE*.

By choosing this tumbler, you’re not only adding beauty to your table, but also supporting artisan livelihoods and helping preserve traditional craft.

About the Supplier

Shakti.ism

Shakti.ism takes its name from shakti (शक्ति), the Hindi word for power. The full name means something close to "women's power-ism": female energy put into action.

It's a not-for-profit social enterprise founded by Jitna, working with grassroots NGOs in India, Bangladesh and Nepal to employ women from marginalised communities, particularly those at risk of gender-based violence. The approach isn't to teach new skills but to market the considerable ones these women already have, so traditional craft is preserved and they keep ownership of what they earn.

Pieces are designed in the UK and the Netherlands, then handmade from preloved sari fabric. Each one is one of a kind, and nothing is wasted. They also fund tailoring training for women starting out.
